BrahMos led offensive, Akashteer guarded skies: Weapons behind Op Sindoor

DRDO Chairman Samir V Kamat announced that India’s BrahMos missiles and Akashteer air defence system played a crucial role in Operation Sindoor, the retaliatory strike following the Pahalgam terror attack. BrahMos, launched from Sukhoi Mk 1 aircraft, served as the primary offensive weapon, while Akashteer acted as the defensive backbone, integrating sensors to neutralize threats.
