‘Secondary tariffs could go up …’: US warns of higher sanctions on India

The Trump administration is threatening India with higher tariffs if upcoming US-Russia talks in Alaska fail, potentially increasing the existing 50% tariffs on Indian exports. These secondary tariffs, particularly the 25% levy on crude oil trade with Russia, are aimed at pressuring Putin to resolve the Russia-Ukraine war.
