Flash floods in Pak: Widespread destruction reported; at least 49 killed in north-west

Heavy rains have triggered devastating flash floods in north-western Pakistan and other regions, resulting in at least 49 deaths in the last 24 hours. Since late June, over 360 people, predominantly women and children, have perished in rain-related incidents nationwide. Pak-occupied Gilgit-Baltistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces have been particularly hard-hit, with numerous casualties and significant infrastructure damage reported.
