US ‘National Security’ clause: Why it may not increase price of Made-in-India iPhone 17

Despite the recent 50% tariff imposed on Indian goods by the US, Apple iPhones are currently exempt under the national security clause of Section 232 of the US Trade Expansion Act. This shields India-manufactured iPhones from price hikes in the US market.
