A tragic accident claimed the life of a 20-year-old polytechnic student in Champawat when a javelin, thrown during practice for the college’s sports day, fatally pierced his neck. The aspiring Agniveer was retrieving a football when the incident occurred. He was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries. The sports meet was subsequently cancelled.
