Taiwan’s defence ministry reported six Chinese navy vessels operating near the island, continuing Beijing’s regular military activity. This follows recent drills by Taiwan aimed at countering potential Chinese aggression. The island is also bolstering its defences, including its first domestically built submarine undergoing sea trials, amid escalating tensions and China’s persistent claims over Taiwan.
