How Integrated Battle Groups could change the way Indian Army fights future wars

The Indian Army has launched a major structural overhaul, creating five Integrated Battle Groups and a Fire Support Group. This move aims to enhance rapid, decisive military responses by integrating infantry, armour, artillery, and logistics under single commanders. The reform, tested under the 17 Mountain Strike Corps, streamlines mobilisation and empowers field commanders for quicker action, building a more agile and lethal future-ready force.
