Indian ship Lila Vadinar successfully crossed the Strait of Hormuz carrying Kuwaiti crude oil. Another Indian vessel, Maha Roos, also transited through the strategic waterway. Seven India-bound ships with 149 seafarers await evacuation from the Persian Gulf. Vessel movement through the strait is now restricted due to escalating conflict. The government may reissue advisories cautioning seafarers and discouraging West Asia charters.
