Engineering student got no Wi-Fi, bad food in hostel; court orders Rs 30K refund

A district consumer commission directed a Greater Noida hostel to refund Rs 30,000. The student paid an advance for accommodation and promised facilities. The hostel failed to provide good food and working Wi-Fi. The commission found this a deficiency in service under the Consumer Protection Act. The hostel must also pay interest, compensation, and litigation costs.
