A live-in relationship between two gay partners in Varanasi ended tragically on Monday night. One partner, Kush Pandey, fatally stabbed his live-in partner, Dipanshu Rai, during a quarrel. The dispute reportedly began over washing dishes after consuming alcohol together. Police arrested Kush Pandey at the scene and sent Dipanshu Rai’s body for postmortem. The couple had been living together for a year and often argued after drinking.
