The abetment of suicide case involving an IIT-Bombay student has been transferred to the crime branch. An FIR was registered after the student’s parents alleged casteist slurs and harassment. The student was found dead in his hostel room on Friday. His parents refused to claim the body until accused persons were arrested. The investigation is ongoing, and IIT-Bombay will cooperate fully with authorities.
