Ahead of the Maharashtra assembly elections, the government announced a Diwali bonus of Rs 29,000 for BMC employees, a 11.53% increase from last year. The bonus also extends to teachers, professors, and healthcare workers, with kindergarten staff receiving special ‘Bhaubeej gifts’.
