Over 140 people lost their lives when a petrol tanker exploded in Majiya village, Nigeria. The tanker was traveling from Portharcourt to Nguru and overturned, causing a spill that ignited. Villagers collecting the fuel perished in the ensuing fire, according to the Jigawa police.
