SC acquits death row convict who spent 12 years in jail

The Supreme Court of India acquitted a death row inmate who had spent 12 years in prison, including eight years under a death sentence, for allegedly killing his family. The Court found insufficient evidence to prove his guilt and ordered his release, emphasizing that suspicion cannot replace proof beyond reasonable doubt.
