Intel does another U-turn, looking to sell a part of ‘its future’

Intel considers selling a minority stake in its programmable chip unit, Altera, valuing it at $17 billion amidst severe financial challenges and declining stock prices. The move marks a significant shift from its previous strategy and is part of a broader restructuring effort, including job cuts and halting new plant construction in Europe.
