3rd Test: India commit harakiri late on Day 1 to hand NZ control

India’s batting faltered at Wankhede on the opening day of the third Test against New Zealand, ending at 86/4 in response to New Zealand’s 235. Earlier, Ravindra Jadeja’s five-wicket haul and Washington Sundar’s four-wicket performance highlighted India’s bowling. However, a late collapse left India trailing by 149 runs, with key wickets falling in quick succession.
