A 52-year-old gold artisan in Bengaluru lost his life after being trapped between an elevator and its shaft wall. The incident occurred as he was entering the elevator, and the doors closed prematurely, causing him to become wedged as the lift ascended. Despite rescue efforts, he succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital.
