Farm fires at record low but impact on Delhi air still high

Despite a 70% reduction in stubble burning incidents in Punjab and a 42% reduction in Haryana, farm fires remain a significant contributor to Delhi’s pollution levels. This is due to the persistent north-westerly winds and poor air ventilation in the city, highlighting the complexity of addressing air quality issues.
