New temperature rule for ACs: Why cooling will be limited between 20°C & 28°C; What govt says

India is set to implement new air conditioning standards, restricting the temperature range to 20°C-28°C. Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar announced this initiative, a first-of-its-kind experiment to standardize AC usage and curb excessive electricity consumption. The move aims to alleviate pressure on the power supply, especially during peak summer months.
