A special NIA court’s acquittal in the 2008 Malegaon blast case has revealed significant contradictions between the ATS and NIA investigations. The court cited flawed evidence, coercion, and inconsistencies in the agencies’ accounts of the bomb’s assembly and transportation. Concerns were raised about torture and fabricated evidence, casting doubt on the credibility of the ATS investigation.
