2 lakh acute respiratory cases: Govt pins surge to Delhi air pollution ; metros show similar spikes

Between 2022 and 2024, hospitals in Delhi reported more than 200,000 cases of acute respiratory illnesses, resulting in a wave of hospital admissions. The Health Ministry attributes this alarming rise to increased air pollution, designating it a significant ‘triggering factor.
