The Union government has officially banned the song ‘Sarke Chunariya’ following widespread outrage over its vulgar lyrics and visuals. Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw confirmed the ban in Lok Sabha, emphasizing that freedom of speech in India has reasonable constitutional limitations concerning public order, decency, and morality. The move comes after numerous complaints and criticism from women’s commissions and public figures.
