‘Without missiles, we’d be like Gaza’: Tehran rejects US calls to limit its defence arsenal

Iran’s President Pezeshkian has asserted that the missile program is strictly defensive and isn’t covered by any agreements with the US. He highlighted its importance for national security, likening Iran’s situation to that of Gaza. This declaration surfaces during discussions on a 14-point MoU, which does not include any terms on missile limitations and is centered solely on nuclear arms.
