As Germany seeks to shed ‘Sick Man of Europe’ lable; changes Sick Leave policy

Germany is implementing significant reforms to boost its struggling economy, including a major overhaul of sick leave policies. Starting next year, workers will need a doctor’s note from the first day of illness, ending the practice of phone-based sick leave.
