Oil remains above $100 per barrel as traders await potential US-Iran talks

Oil prices climbed above one hundred dollars a barrel as Middle East tensions intensified. Traders weighed signs of possible US-Iran talks against continuing tensions in the Gulf. Yemen’s Houthis conducted attacks on Riyadh and a Saudi Aramco facility. Traffic through the Strait of Hormuz has dropped sharply due to ongoing conflict. The US and Iran have traded threats for over six months now.
