A monorail coach derailed near Wadala during a system trial, reportedly due to a suspected glitch in the signalling and switching mechanism. The incident, which occurred on the Wadala-GTB Nagar section, saw the coach tilt on the beam. Engineers were testing new technology aimed at improving train control. Minor injuries were sustained by one technical staff member.
